I believe the small dents could be nicely removed by a qualified horn technician. more and scratches on other smooth metal surfaces on the instrument(see pictures) The small dents/scratches will not affect the playability of the instrument. I have sold very many on eBay over the last ten years(including numerous Yamaha) without incident. I n eed to tell you that my knowledge of saxophones is somewhat limited as I do not play the saxophone. Neck strap, and case shown in the pictures. All that is in cluded in the auction is the instrument. This auction is for a Yamaha YBS-52 Intermediate Baritone Saxophone(SN 032800- Made in Japan) that is in excellent overall used condition in the factory Yamaha hard case with the factory Yamaha neck strap as shown. I respectfully request that you read the entire item description prior to bidding and/or asking questions. It comes with an old case and will be packed and shipped through UPS ground to assure safe delivery. All is in working order and the horn is in good. The pads show no wear and look virtually new and the lacquer is probably at about 50% It has been used so it shows some wear, dings, re-solders and the neck has had the old mic pickup hole patched and sealed with a brass patch. Oiled, adjusted and play tested so that it is in good playing condition and everything works the way it should.
This horn was overhauled in recent years and then replaced at the shop by a Selmer so that it has had hardly any use since the overhaul. This horn was previously owned by a famous mouthpiece maker of saxophone and clarinet mouthpieces and used for testing pieces at his shop for many years.
